5 BEACHES FROM LANZAROTE THAT WON CUSTO DALMAU OVER

Lanzarote is a fortunate island for its incredible white, gold and volcanic blacks and beaches and enjoyable mild weather, with an average of 22 degrees all year round. It is an actual paradise in the summer, when the sea breeze freshens you up in the hottest days.

A bright island with a special captivating energy as if it were under a magic spell, a spell that won Custo Dalmau’s heart over.

A sea and water sports lover, Custo relaxes and enjoys the beach like any child would. No wonder, considering the beauty of Lanzarote’s beaches.

1- PLAYA DE FAMARA.

His favourite without a doubt! This very long beach, located north of Lanzarote, with a view of the Chinijo archipelago, welcomes surfers, families and nudists alike. It is also the setting of some striking sunsets.

2- EL CALETÓN BLANCO.

Also on the north of the island, between Jameos del Agua and Órzola’s town, is this beautiful white-sand cove with pristine water, where tourists and locals relax and chill out. It is true, time doesn’t seem to go by in that place.

Near Puerto Calero there is a beautiful fishing village called Playa Quemada, where time stands still and peace takes over those who stroll around its flat-rock beach. It is a place to fully switch off, watching the sunset and connecting with your inner-self. Near the flat-rock beach, there is the black-sand beach Playa Del Pozo Negro, which can be accessed when the tide is out, or on a donkey’s narrow road.  This spot has several restaurants where you may delight yourself with fresh fish, white wine and a view of the sea.

4- LOS CHARCONES NATURAL POOLS

One of Lanzarote’s best-kept secrets. They are located in the southwestern coast of the Island, not far from Playa Blanca, but far removed from its crowded streets. Peace is guaranteed in Los Charcones, and there is something wild and hypnotising about the beauty of its surroundings. These are natural pools whose water is constantly renewed by the sea, turning them into a true natural spa.

5- PLAYA PAPAGAYO.

Papagayo is the name of a group of beaches in the southern coast of Lanzarote, overlooking Isla de Lobos and Fuerteventura. Yellow sand beaches where you can relax, do some snorkelling, and even, if you dare do so, go diving in Europe’s first underwater museum —which is nearby—.

These five beaches charm anyone who visits this Island in the Atlantic Ocean. Many people dream of Lanzarote, reenacting a feeling of freedom and peace.
