LANZAROTE MODA PROMOTES THE ISLAND’S TALENT

Cabildo of Lanzarote aims to contribute and boost the fashion industry from the island through LANZAROTE MODA, in order to encourage the development of the industry and the creation of new jobs, as well as to maintain current ones, whilst stimulating competitiveness, productivity and tech development of this growing niche of opportunity.

LANZAROTE MODA will take actions to reinforce the weak points of the textile industry and fashion, such as improvements in production systems, business management and advertising.

That’s why Cabildo of Lanzarote will offer individual counsel regarding trends and commercialisation strategies to companies that take part in the brand.

The Cabildo also committed to assist in taking part in national and international festivals or in inverted commercial missions. Moreover, it will also offer support during the making of the communication plans for the media, promotional items, webpage… among other aspects,  as well as to spread the advertising campaigns and the promotional actions that LANZAROTE MODA implements. All the designers who took part in LANZAROTE MODA will be authorised to use the trademark in the products they sell, and they will also enjoy something essential: preferential access to subsidies.

The programme will go on for five years, carrying out the corresponding actions between 2018 and 2022, and it could be extendable with the approval from the Área de Industria, Comercio y Energía of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, provided that the objectives set out in the programme are fulfilled, and that there still is budget available for it.
