ONCE ITS SUCCESS IS SECURED, THE LANZAROTE FASHION WEEKEND MOVES TOWARDS ITS PROMISING SECOND EDITION

A place like Lanzarote, where natural beauty and architectonic design come together, used as the stage for a one-of-a-kind international fashion events that is a sure success, like the first edition of the Lanzarote Fashion Weekend was.

LZTFW is an event where, for a weekend, influencers and journalists come together for an outstanding fashion experience, bringing the stunning island’s landscapes and its sustainability together with a fashion brand, introducing its most recent designs. It is a weekend featuring out-of-the-ordinary designs, with two key words: Lanzarote and fashion.

LANZAROTE, AN EXCEPTIONAL ISLAND

Many conditions met up to ensure the first edition’s success, but, without a doubt, the setting was one of the main keys.

And the thing is that Lanzarote, an island of only 800 square kilometres declared a UNESCO’S Biosphere Reserve in 1993, stands out for its diverse landscapes. The volcanic eruptions which took place during the 18th and 19th centuries made for a spectacular look in a land where unusual settings shaped with volcanic caves, lava lakes and craters, alongside golden-sanded beaches, blue skies and pristine water coexist.

While it is incredible to go for a walk through the Timanfaya National Park, a striking series of moon-like volcanic landscapes, the beauty of the rest of the tourist centres created by César Manrique is no less. Centres such as Castillo San José, Cueva de los Verdes, Mirador del Río…

Precisely one of these centres, Jameos del Agua, is the chosen spot to hold the Lanzarote Fashion Weekend. In this volcanic tube where lava from Volcán de la Corona ran through, North of the island, Manrique imagined a unique area where the basalt black and white, green and blue shades merge to create an area of extraordinary beauty.

Its auditorium stands out as the only one in the world with such geologic features and acoustics.
