LOS JAMEOS DEL AGUA GET ‘AGATHIZED’

LOS JAMEOS DEL AGUA GET ‘AGATHIZED’

The second edition of the Lanzarote Fashion Weekend already established as an event brimming with daring and trendy designs.

Unique surroundings and an always cutting-edge designer like Agatha Ruíz de la Prada for an already renowned event. That was the second edition of the Lanzarote Fashion Weekend for around five hundred people enjoying the event.

Specialised journalists, designers, influencers, models and plenty of celebrities, such as actress Hiba Abouk, and actress and broadcaster Marta Torné, model Laura Ponte, and well-known influencers like Pelayo Díaz, Marco Llorente Jiménez, Jorge Luis López, Miguel Carrizo and Marta Purriños, also representing the LZTFW brand.

The President of the Cabildo himself, Pedro San Ginés, enjoyed the show and reminded us of the importance of this kind of events when it comes to strengthening the image of the island as a MICE destination (a destination for congresses and events), and turning the island into a place to combine fashion, nature, tourism, music and the environment.

Colour, plenty of colour, for a vintage collection fashion show bringing outfits back to the catwalk in Jameos del Agua. Michelin dresses, balloon dresses, walking flowers, blanket dresses, walking chiffon balloon dresses, star and flower platform shoes impossible to wear, hair bands with the hearts that have represented Agatha for almost thirty years already and that are still trendy.

There was also a recent Canarian creation worth mentioning: handcrafted silk rosettes made by the spinners in El Paso, La Palma.

And of course music, on the unique stage of the Jameos del Agua Auditorium, where the designer from Madrid showed her designs to 1980’s beats. Twenty models, all of them from the Canary Islands, wearing the almost thirty outfits designed by Agatha.

While the models were showing the most iconic outfits created by Agatha, the catwalk turned into a bright and colourful journey through the designer’s unique universe.

After the colourful fashion show, attendees had a cocktail by the pool and a Jameos Music Festival Dj session, with Dj Mr. Paradise and Dj Salvatore. The acoustics and geology of the venue are part of such unique and fascinating event.
